Why do this ride: Delta watershed park, Boundary Bay, Brunswick Point, Breweries (Four Winds, Barnside). It is a major bird migration area with lots of Bald Eagles in winter.

Difficulty: Easy

Other notes:  This route takes in upper trails south from Delta to Mud Bay park; the upper trails are rideable all year but require a bit of route finding. The lower trails on west side of railway offer a nice alternative that is easier to follow but are prone to flooding. Whether or not to do this loop clockwise or counterclockwise depends on your preference; Boundary Bay is easier to do with wind in back, done clockwise you have to deal with River Road traffic at end of ride. Planet Ice has good parking although there are many options for start. There are better routes through Tsawwassen (go straight instead of left when exiting Boundary Bay trail and follow your nose) but this one took in a coffee stop.
