Why do this ride: A bit of remoteness close to home. Ride Quarry Road before it gets paved as new road access to Metro Vancouver Widgeon Park.
Difficulty: Easy with a bit of climbing
Other notes: This route combines the standard Port-Coquitlam (PoCo) loop with Quarry Rd. Cut out about 14 km and most climbing without Quarry Rd. Quarry can get very gritty in winter and feel like riding in wet cement.
